Dundee Schools begin classes Aug. 25
Are you ready for school to start?

Dundee Schools will begin its 2004-2005 academic year on Wednesday, Aug. 25 with a full day of classes for students.

Pre-registration will be held on weekdays prior to the opening of school, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the building principals’ offices.

The elementary and middle school students have classes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. High school students begin their day at 8:15 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:15 p.m.

Students should be ready for the buses one hour before the beginning of school the first few days of school, as some bus routes have been changed from last year.

Lunch prices are as follows: elementary, $1.50; middle school, $1.75; high school, $2. Extra milk is 30 cents per carton.

An elementary school picnic will be held on Monday, Aug. 23 from 4-6:30 p.m. Students and their families can bring their school supplies, meet the teachers, and have a picnic on the front lawn.

Hot dogs and drinks will be provided; families are asked to bring chips or dessert by 3 p.m.

A middle school orientation will be held Monday, Aug. 23 in the middle school gym. For fifth and sixth graders, the doors open at 5:30 with the program beginning at 6 p.m.

For seventh and eighth graders, the doors open at 7 with the program beginning at 7:30 p.m. A dance for seventh and eighth graders only will begin at 9:30 p.m.

There will be no school in the district on Friday, Sept. 3 or Monday, Sept. 6 as the district breaks for Labor Day weekend.
