| United Bank and Trust branch being remodeled in Dundee The United Bank and Trust branch on Tecumseh Street in Dundee is undergoing an extensive remodeling project. The project is expected to be completed in 90 days. The new office design will look and operate more like a retail store than a bank, featuring an interactive and educational environment to help clients discover the financial possibilities available at United. The bright, inviting interior will feature a Service and Information Center, Computer Cafe, Investment Center and Cash Counter. United Bank and Trust President John Wanke calls it, "A whole new way of banking." He added, "United's promise is to deliver extraordinary service every time, every day, to every client. It still depends on our people. We have representatives at this office who love showing people how to fulfill their financial needs, and now will have the tools to do so." Troy Briggs, United's financial sales officer in Dundee, said, "The focus is on making banking easier and more fun. This environment offers clients an opportunity to explore the services we offer. We want people to know that we're more than just a bank. We want to help people fulfill their dreams." One of the most unique features of the bank will be the Computer Cafe. Clients will be able to look at their investment options and information on basic financial planning with computers linked to United's web page, and other investment sites. As you'd expect, there will be gourmet coffee in fact, a special United blend. There also will be a television in the Investment Center, broadcasting continuous stock exchange reports and news. The Dundee bank will continue to offer full services, including a drive-through. The ATM machine has been moved to the back of the building, to allow for convenient drive-through ATM service, also. United's Dundee office will be the fifth in United's system that will use this "retailing" approach. The new look has been established at United's main office in Tecumseh, as well as in Adrian, Saline and Manchester. A new office in Dexter is set to open in 2001 with the new look. United Bank and Trust is a locally owned, independent community bank with 15 offices, 24-hour bank-by-phone service, internet banking, and evening and weekend hours by appointment. United offers stocks, bonds, annuities, life insurance, mutual funds, reitrement and estate planning, IRAs, pensions and profit sharing plans as well as traditional checking, savings, and loans. |
