Dundees Boy Scout Troop 511 enjoyed participating in the Klondike Derby at the Dundee Sportsmans Club on Saturday, Feb. 9. Instead of the usual freezing temperatures, snow and ice, it was warm, sunny and there was a little mud to deal with during the weekend camp-out and competition. Dundee Township Volunteer Fire Department has a new rescue truck, given by an anonymous donor. The 2002 Ford Excursion has been specially outfitted to serve the task with a large pullout tray in back. The vehicle is white with blue reflective stripes, and the paint job will match a new pumper truck the department has ordered and expects to receive in August. | |||||||
