Dundee Elementary and Middle School students donated snacks and personal care items for U.S. troops serving in Iraq. The items later were packed and mailed by the Dundee Jaycees, who organized the collection. The classes of Ms. Schafer and Ms. Marion each got a pizza party for bringing in the most items. Not all classes participated.

Douglas Heinlen (left) not only steadied the ladder for those who needed it, but also gave out helpful hints. Those who succeeded in making it to the top could beep a horn and receive a certificate of accomplishment.
