The Wizard of Oz group won the costume contest at Dundee High School on Friday, Oct. 31. Pictured left to right are: Heather Stanick, lion; Cassie Rank, tin man; Amber Miller, Dorothy; Tina Toburen, scarecrow; and Nicole Wilson, wicked witch. In second place (not pictured) were the Golden Girls, Pam Hawes, Nikki Stevens, Ashley Demico and Ashley Luna; third place was Casey Parrotte as the Statue of Liberty.
A popular Halloween tradition continued as John Moskwa dressed up and visited local Dundee businesses and the school. This year, Mr. Moskwa was “The Incredible Hulk,” complete with green makeup.

Ida High School celebrated 30 years of girls basketball on Thursday, Oct. 30 during halftime of the varsity game with Onsted. Players from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s joined the current team on the court.
Darrell Powell, a local railroad buff, admired the railroad lanterns for sale at the Old Mill Antique Market in Dundee on Saturday, Nov. 1. The show continued the next day on Sunday, Nov. 2 and may become an annual event.
