Residents at Rawson Place, Dundee’s senior housing complex, enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 20 in the community room. The turkey and stuffing was prepared and donated by Sandy Benore, the executive director of Rawson Place. The residents brought dishes to share. Joan Pashaian, owner of Raisin River Beads in Dundee, donated the materials and her patient expertise to teach a group of about a dozen people how to make woven beaded bracelets at the Dundee Library on Saturday, Nov. 22. Mrs. Locke’s kindergarten class at Ida Elementary School enjoyed hearing a Thanksgiving story from library assistant Sandy Russeau on Thursday, Nov. 20. The ceiling of the library was decorated with an “avalanche” of leaves. The paper leaves each contains the name of a student, and his or her favorite book, for Children’s Book Week. |

Good sports, Dustin Walling and Kevin House playfully held up some items at the rummage sale run by the Maybee Men’s Club at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee on Saturday, Nov. 22. The event also included a baked goods sale and a prize raffle drawing featuring many donated items.
