Josh Motylinski and a Dexter player grappled over the ball as they approached the Dundee basket in the Class B District final at Tecumseh on Friday, March 12. Dexter won the extremely close game, 50-43.
Dundee High School band members recently went on a trip to Disney World in Florida, where they performed a concert, took a serious sight-reading workshop, and recorded a soundtrack cut for a “Tarzan” video. They were given a banner for their performance at Epcot. See story, page 13A.
Summerfield High School will present the rock ‘n roll classic “Grease,” as the spring musical, Friday and Saturday, March 19 and 20 in the SHS cafetorium. The musical includes the hit songs from the movie.
Zachary Bruck and his brother, Justin Bruck, practiced together before the start of the chess tournament at the Dundee Library on Saturday, March 13. The brothers have been playing chess for four years.
Lenawee County Athletic Association held its first annual Scholar-Athlete Awards dinner recently. The award is for seniors who lettered in two varsity sports and maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.5. Honorees from Dundee are (left to right): Charly Bronson, Emily Wells, Craig Ringbloom, Cosell Beavers, Holly Snell, Mandy Schultz, Dave Schofield and Bryan Crist, along with Dundee Athletic Director John Krimmel.
