Summerfield High School Principal Joe Palka (center) and staff members learned to use automatic external defibrillator (AED) equipment at a special in-service day on Monday, Jan. 19. The life-saving device can be used to shock a heart into its correct rhythm in a medical emergency.

Dundee’s Adam Rowe took control of his match with a Monroe opponent at Ida on Wednesday, Jan. 14. He pinned his opponent for six points. Dundee defeated Monroe, 44-21 and is now ranked number one in the state for Division III.
Marty Smith took off the block for his leg in a freestyle relay at the DMS Relays, held Saturday, Jan. 17 in the Viking pool. The DMS relay team finished third with Kirsten Fisk, Tim Imber, Jon Schott and Smith.
