Jarrod tried on a fireman’s helmet at the Dundee Township Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday, Oct. 7. Mrs. Gourley’s Dundee kindergarten class toured the hall. All week, classes toured the hall and heard presentations about fire safety, and firefighters also visited the school.

Shaun Dismuke, a member of the Army’s 1st Infantry Division, was surprised at a party given by his mother, Cindy Treharne on Saturday, Oct. 9. He is home for two weeks; he has been in Iraq since January and will return to the war after his brief leave. He and his wife Jewel have two children, Alexis and Shaun Jr., and live in Maybee. He is a 1996 graduate of Dundee High School.
Jonathan Brant and Racheal Brant checked out the books at the Dundee Elementary PTA’s book fair on Monday, Oct. 11. The event continues through Friday, Oct. 15.
Myra Dees of Rawson Place was happy to meet Dr. Brian Brophy, who has joined the staff at Dundee Family Care medical practice. He is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. Dr. Brophy attended the health fair at the senior housing complex on Thursday, Oct. 7.
